Bond Organs is currently seeking another skilled service technician to join their team. We are a fun group of people with a variety of interests and skills, and we currently service nearly 190 pipe organs across the Pacific Northwest – from Oregon, to Alaska, to Montana and everywhere in between. We have immediate work for a new-hire, including a several restoration, relocation, and rebuild projects currently scheduled, but will also need another skilled tuner come the Holidays. Occasional travel is a must, but we try to share that responsibility equally – it is rare that any individual employee has to travel continuously, or in successive weeks – we don’t want to burn ourselves out, and try to keep the travel within reason. Work/Life balance!
We are asking only those with at least 5 years of field experience (tuning & repairs) to apply. Knowledge of a variety of pipe organ electronics/styles is a heavy priority. Certainly we build, rebuild, and restore organs, but our “bread & butter” comes from regular service and repairs. We have found that our field technicians learn how to be good organbuilders in the shop by growing their experience in the field. Aside from Holiday tuning, we have at least 2 years of other organ projects scheduled and in the works, and can put you to work right away! We are LGBTQ+ friendly, and we are excited to meet our next great candidate. Contact colin@bondorgans.com.
